Top 6 Travel Tips for Spring & Summer Travel

summer travel tips

With Spring in full swing and Summer just around the corner now is the perfect time to start planning ahead for your upcoming warm weather vacations - and to do so we've compiled some of our top tips:

#1 Travel with a Reusable Water Bottle

It is imperative to stay hydrated while traveling - not only will it will keep you energized but it will help keep your skin moisturized & healthy allowing you to arrive to your vacation with a beautiful glow. One of the best ways to do this is to travel with a re-usable water bottle, not only will they save money, but they will make it that much easier for you to stay hydrated throughout your travels. We love the brand Swell with their bold colors and fun prints.

#2 Travel with a Light Wrap or Scarf

Traveling with a light wrap or scarf will not only keep you warm in chilly air conditioned airports or flights - but upon arrival can double as a sarong or cover-up for your shoulders on cool evenings or during cultural tours. One of our favorites are these lightweight scarves from White & Warren - in all different colors & styles you can't go wrong!

#3 Coordinate the Outfits You Pack

One of the best things about traveling during the warmer months is that the clothes are lighter in fabric and overall weight - meaning that if you strategically coordinate what you pack you can fit even more outfits in your carry-on sized suitcase. Talk about traveling savvy & chic.

#4 Bring a Blanket & Pillow

Even though Spring and Summer travel brings warmer temperatures - having not only a pillow, but also a blanket when flying will ensure that you sleep more comfortably and in a more clean environment (because lets be honest...not all airlines wash the blankets & pillows after each use).

#5 Take the Time to Indulge in Reading, Music or Nothing at All

It's important to take time for yourself and to do things that you enjoy. Whether that be reading books or magazines, listening to music, watching movies or catching up on trashy tv shows - make the most of your captive time on the plane to get caught up and indulge in what you love most.

#6 Use a Dryer Sheet in Your Suitcase to Keep Your Belongings Fresh

With warmer temperatures you want to make sure that not only you arrive fresh & energized - but that your clothing does as well. By placing some dryer sheets among your clothing you can ensure that even in the warmest of temperatures they will arrive, and stay fresh.
